We raise 100% grassfed and finished Rotokawa Red Devon beef on 200 acres of grazing lands with our knowledgeable beef partner Chuck Lacy. The Mother cows and calves are raised on hillside farms that we lease/rent. The yearlings are moved to our leased riverbottom land to finish on an incredible grazing mix of clovers, orchardgrass, rye grass, forage chicory and alfalfa. We are excited to offer you this tasty and healthy meat!
Our grassfed beef hanging weights range from 500 to 550 lbs and your meat cut yield will be about 55% of the hanging weight. You can pick up your order at our farmstand.
Our cattle are a rare genetic herd of Rotokawa Red Devon crossed with Angus. The Rotokawa Red Devon are prized for their meat quality (tender and tasty). Find more information about this great breed here.
OPTION 1: 100% Grassfed Beef Share - 20 lbs
Cost: $180.00
What you get: 20 lb package of assorted meat cuts (ex. steaks, ground hamburger, roasts, stew meat) in cryovac wrap. This box size will fit in a milk crate for space comparison.
Where to get it: At our farmstand or at the farmers markets.
OPTION 2: Whole or Half 100% Grassfed Beef
Cost: Half a beef ($4.75/lb hanging weight) or a whole beef ($4.25/lb HW). This price includes the cost of transportion, slaughter and processing (cut & wrap)of your animal.
What you get: You select the specific cuts you want on the meat cutting form that we provide you. This option provides you with the most meat for the money. Once your order is processed we contact you and you can pick it up at our farmstand.
